~No Standing Fires. 

~DAILY provision of 1 oxygen tank per person, at local fire stations until power is restored. WEST BANK FIRE STATIONS ARE OPEN.

~CARBON MONOXIDE POISONING has gone down, partly due to less generators being place indoors w/some ppl having restored electricity: also detectors are being distributed.

•¹LAW ENFORCEMENT REPORT (R.P.). Curfew extended. Asking the public to report crimes. Law Enforcement has obtained property retrieved from burglars & looters. If you are an evacuee & learn your home has been burglarized, you are urged to report that. This will help the burglary dept piece together other crimes that may be related to yours.

A QUICK, RELIABLE FIX FOR GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES IN 2021

Check out "Antivirus & Virus Cleaner, Applock, Clean, Booster"

Installed Antivirus & Virus Cleaner, Applock, Clean, Booster app an hour ago on 9/2/21 on my phone, and already my app lock situation is better and my Play Store Services is now acting normal. 

Also, my apps had been showing last week accessive mbs in many apps' sizes & that has bern been remedied, as well...just by using this app's scanner & app lock. Awesome!!! 

But, the app scan never showed any viruses, even though this app fixed multiple issues, without notification that it resolved issues.

I am not complaining, because now I do not have to factory reset.

I had tried different apps to repair Google Play Services, but none could tackle the issue I experienced in August 2021, e.g.

My GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES was force stopped & disabled with NO WAY TO RESET IT. When I tried to uninstall/reinstall, the app at GOOGLE PLAY STORE, it only showed a button to DEACTIVATE. I couldn't deactivate because GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES is a device administrator. Every attempt I made to remove it as a device administrator was futile, while actively creating a new situation. Whenever I tried clearing the app's cache & data, ALL PERMISSIONS for the app would click back ON, e.g. microphone, body sensor, etc.

Had to share this app! I noted multiple ppl at GOOGLE PLAY STORE in the app's reviews had GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES issues.

The email ALONE provided on that GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES app on GOOGLE PLAY STORE is not monitored, per GOOGLE. After GOOGLE emailed that notification, GOOGLE gave me the Google support address, which is not live chat but mostly leading to their forum for solutions.So, it makes you feel helpless when you can't reach an app's live support team or when you can't get email response other than an automated email. 

But, another option I could have taken was to do a live chat at GOOGLE PLAY STORE about the GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES app. I did get support from GOOGLE in the past through that option, re another app. 

I also checked online fixes for GOOGLE PLAY SERVICES & found alot of info on releases. 

I had recently received an update on my device in late August, which had not corrected my Google Play Services issues. So, I did not find much usefulness from the online search for fixes.

Hope this helps you if you are having similar issues.

⁶ HURRICANE IDA IS THE 5TH LARGEST  STORM TO HIT THE MAINLAND (⁶per CNBC)
and
⁸THE 2ND STRONGEST HURRICANE TO HIT LOUISIANA (⁸per CBS).

⁶ Per Shepherd Smith, per CNBC, 8-30-21, stated there were 4900 Natl Guards Troops & 900 members from search & rescue crews from across the country assisting in the after IDA AFTERMATH. Louisiana deployed 1600 for search & rescue efforts.⁶

⁸ PER CBS NEWS 8/30/21 NIGHTLY NEWS, 800 rescues occurred on 8/30.

• ⁶ Millions were w/o power in MS & LA, with most of New Orleans blacked out since the evening of Aug 29th, 1M ppl.⁶
•
¹New Orleans City-Wide Blackout at nightfall occurred on 8/29/30 and the City Began Using Backup Generators.

⁶The 8 power feed lines into New Orleans were in the Mississippi River complicating power restoration.

⁶ In AL, MS, LA, many were without power, cell service, and/or clean water service.

⁶Per CNBC on 8/30/21, the 911 system was also down in New Orleans & Jefferson Parish.

• As of 8/31/21, the death count by Hurricane IDA was 2, per CBS NEWS.

Some areas had up to 4 feet of water, per ⁸CBS NIGHTLY NEWS, 8/30/21.

Some reports stated New Orleans had a self-contained water pump system that was not effected by the power outages on 8/29/21 in New Orleans, LA.

⁷RESCUE TEAMS used heavy transportation vehicles, as well, as helicopters & boats to assist in their operations⁷.

• A Levee Overflow on Aug 29 occurred and not a levee failure (as some reported). On Aug 30, Out-of-State Crews Began Assisting in the Boat Rescues Searching For Stranded Residents in JEFFERSON PARISH.

  • ⁶In Jefferson Parish, Lafitte was being reported with the HIGHEST FLOOD LEVELS in 34 years stranding 500 residents, (who waited on 8/30/21, for rescue boats organized to pick them up & drop them off at shelters.⁶
  •
• ³RED CROSS OUT-OF-STATE CREWS came to Louisiana on 8/30/21, per one report.
•
• ⁷ Lafitte was de-electrified, cutting off all power, so the flooded city's damaged power lines couldn't electrocute residents.

• ⁶ The good news is that the $12B to rebuild New Orleans' levee system actually held up during IDA's fury on 8/29/21;⁶ although there were damages to businesses, trees, & cars with a city-wide blackout.

Curfews (dusk to dawn) were announced 8/29/21 & 8/30/21 for some areas of Louisiana, due to downed power lines, flooded roads, and debris blocking roads.

²FEMA PREPARES FOR HURRICANE IDA
¹"Eerily, Ida is forecast to strike southeast Louisiana on Sunday, August 29, the date of the 16th anniversary of when Katrina made landfall."

⁴ Mayor of New Orleans orders some evacuations for those outside the protection of the levee system.

HURRICANE IDA made landfall in CUBA, with 80 mph winds on August 27, 2021, and is expected to arrive in the Gulf of Mexico also on August 27, 2021.

IDA is expected to upgrade as a CAT4, with maximum 140 mph winds and likely to landfall New Orleans on Sunday, Aug 29 (Katrina anniversary). IDA is forecast to move through Baton Rouge & then onward through Mississippi.
